CONTAINMENT

LATIMAT portable containment systems are designed to capture wash water and other liquids generated during fleet washing, pressure washing, equipment cleaning, aircraft servicing, de-icing and industrial operations. Our containment mats and portable wash pads help control wash water collection and recovery while reducing runoff into surrounding areas and drainage systems.

THE INVENTOR

Douglas R. Latimer brings over five decades of hands-on experience in the mobile washing and waste water containment industries. His journey began in 1968 washing trucks, and years of direct involvement in the field led him to develop innovative solutions for wash-water containment. In 1991, he introduced the Portable Truck Wash Pad, widely known as the LATIMAT portable wash pad, which blends practical industry insights with a commitment to durability, portability, and efficient waste water containment. His extensive experience continues to influence the LATIMAT 2.0 systems today, ensuring they effectively meet the needs of fleet washing containment with their advanced containment mat solutions.

In 2005, LATIMAT secured a NASA contract for the cleaning and containment of the historic Saturn V Rocket at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Originally developed by Douglas Latimer in 1991, LATIMAT introduced innovative containment mats that drew upon decades of hands-on experience in the mobile washing industry. Since then, LATIMAT's containment systems have effectively met a variety of needs across diverse sectors, including commercial, industrial, aviation, rail, military, and government applications, especially in providing efficient waste water containment solutions.
